Query: Anybody have a easy recipe for Apple pie that uses only brown sugar?
Just the basic Apple Pie recipe, that uses only brown sugar, and not a specific kind of apple either, thanks.

Easy APPLE PIE

Apples
one/two c. brown sugar
one/four tsp. mace
one/four tsp. apple pie spice
Pillsbury Pastry or your very own pastry

Reduce up at least eight apples and mix with brown sugar, mace and apple pie spice. Roll out the Pillsbury Pastry a tiny thinner and put in pie pan. Sprinkle with white sugar. Add apple mixture. Best with upper pastry and sprinkle generously with white sugar. Bake ten minutes at 425 degrees, then 35 minutes at 400 degrees.

You ought to be ready to just mix sliced apples (peeled) with brown sugar (let it sit & stir it sometimes prior to putting into pie shell), then put into pie crust (I use shop bought for comfort), I suggest placing a handful of small pats of butter all over the top of it, adds richness to the flavor, but you definitely don’t have to! Cover with the leading crust, cut out a tiny hole in center & bake at 375 for about 40-50 mins or right up until crust is baked & filling is bubbling.

I make easy fruit pies this way all the time & serve with homemade whipped cream – hefty whipping cream, a wee bit of sugar (to taste, I don’t like it sweet) & a couple drops of vanilla, beat with electric beaters until finally it starts to ‘peak’ or is the consistency you choose. Alternatively, a slice can be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or cheddar cheese!

Easy APPLE PIE

one Pillsbury pie crust from dairy section (not frozen)
1 c. brown sugar
one/2 tsp. cinnamon
one/4 tsp. salt
two tbsp. flour
6 c. pared, sliced apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter

Combine sugar, cinnamon, salt and flour in mixing bowl. Organize apples in layers in 9 inch pastry lined pan. Sprinkling cinnamon sugar mixture over each layer. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Dot with butter. Put top rated crust above filling and press together edges about pie. Reduce slits for escape of steam. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
