Excellent, and Nutritious Food,
This is an excellent dog food. After doing a lot of research into different dog foods, we were surprised to see how many fillers, and other questionable products are put into lower quality dog food. Ever wonder how else you can get 30 pounds of food for $15? If you can afford a little better for your pet, this is a perfect balance of quality ingredients, price, and availability. Chicken, then Chicken Meal, are the first and second ingredients, which are both quality ingredients for which you should look. These ingredients do not include undesirables that ingredients such as “Chicken By-Product Meal” might contain. This is probably the best food that Iams produces, and is more reasonable that some other brands that may be only slightly better, though harder to find.
We got our dog from a shelter, and we transitioned him to it immediately (although they recommend slowly transitioning him from their food). He made the transition without any stomach upset. This food keeps him pretty regular. It may cost a bit more than other foods, but knowing that you are feeding something healthy to your pet makes you and him feel better.
