Easy as Pie cookbook,
This book was purchased for my English Language student who has taken an interest in pies. I looked at several pie books, and chose this one because the directions are easy to follow. The recipes themselves are simple, not exotic and complicated. The photos are also excellent.

I usually take new cookbooks out of the library and photo copy the few recipes I think I will make. When I previewed this lovely book, I realized I would simply have to purchase the book outright. There are far too many “must make” recipes in this beautifully illustrated book. The recipes are simple enough for a novice cook to make with confidence (since all pie crusts are store bought/pre-made) and elegant enough for the experienced cook to appreciate. There are many varieties of pies, divided by category; fruit and berry, creamy and chilled, holiday pies and tarts, savory pies and quiches. Most recipes call for few ingredients, and the directions are uncomplicated and clear. There are many helpful hints in the beginning of the book, as well as throughout the book. I gave this review 4 stars because I have not yet made any of the recipes in the book, but being a fairly experienced cook, I can tell by the ingredients that they should be very good. I will update after I make some of the recipes.
