This is what I do:
I whip two eggs and a splash of milk in a bowl. I dip a piece of white bread in, generating positive the entire thing is dampened. I pop them on a medium-heat frying pan, swiftly sprinkling some cinnamon-sugar on that side and then flip them and sprinkle it on the other side. I cook it for a few minutes like that, flip it and cook the original side, producing certain they’re each lightly browned.
If either is undercooked, I can just flip it to that side again. It is important to get the cinnamon-sugar on speedily, because if the other side cooks dry prior to you do it, the cinnamon-sugar will not stick to that side.
I believe it really is delicious. Sorry there are no measurements, but it’s fantastic and I just eye it, personally!
Oh, and I just make as a lot mix as I need to have. 2 eggs is never enough, but I make teeny batches of the batter so I don’t make as well a lot and get left with unused stuff.

Put your non-stick pan on medium heat and put about a tablespoon of butter to grease it- beat a few eggs in a bowl, take a peice of bread and dip it in the egg until all sides are covered in egg, pu tthe egg in the pan- watch it closely, you can lift up the bread and peak at the underside. When the egg has cooked on the bread- flip it over with a spatula and repeat. Butter it (if your Mom likes butter). It’s always nice to sprinkle a tad bit of powdered sugar on each peice.

LikeDislikewith a fork, combine the following in a shallow bowl:
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
4 tsp of sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
dip slices of bread (day old french bread that’s a little hard is best, but regulars stuff will work too) in egg mixture and fry in pan over medium high heat in 1 tbsp butter. sprinkle with a little bit of powdered sugar when done.
you can make the baked version by triple-ing the recipe and pouring the egg mixture over bread layered in a casserole dish. chop up 3 tbsp butter and sprinkle over top of casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight. take out of the fridge and let sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking at 350 degrees for an hour. adding fruit or berries and sprinkling them with 2 tbsp sugar makes the baked version extra special.

LikeDislikeI use 1 cup of milk and 2 eggs. If you use raisin bread it is really good, but if you only have regular bread that is ok.
Dip your bread in this mixture (beat together first) for just a few seconds. If you are using a dense bread like raisin bread, leave it in 3 seconds or so. Let it soak up some of the mixture.
Warm a skillet on medium heat and add a small spoon of butter. Toss a few pieces of your soaked bread in and sprinkle with cinnamon. Let it cook until toasted on that side and flip.
Serve with maple syrup or powdered sugar. This goes really well with some fruit salad and coffee (melon, grapes, apples in the fruit salad).
Good luck, it is very easy. Oh, and way to go for fixing mom breakfast. You’re a good kid.

LikeDislikeSimplify! The vanilla is nice to have, but not necessary. Leave the bread slices out to stale a bit (next time, leave them out all night.) Beat 2 eggs with 1/2 to 1 cup of milk. heat 2 TBL butter in your skillet until sizzling but not brown. Dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture, turn it over, try to soak up as much as you can. Put it in the skillet to brown, and do another, and so on. Check each slice frequently so they don’t burn. When as brown as you like, turn over and cook the other side. Second side won’t take as long as the first.
Put on some jelly, honey, or syrup if you like, and enjoy.

LikeDislikeOh man, there’s certainly no exact science to french toast. When I’m in a hurry I break out a can of egg nogg and soak my bread in it (yeah I’m a sicko – I keep cans of egg nogg all year long).
But with what you’ve got at home, first make an egg wash with approx. a cup of milk and an egg. Just add the edd to the milk and mix it all up with a for k (or whisk).
Let your bread slices soak for a about 15 seconds on each side and then put it in a pan heated with a little butter. When its brown on one side flip it and brown the other. When it comes out, put some of those bananas chopped on it and sprinkle with some powdered sugar (if you have it). And you’re going to need some kind of syrup – pankcake, maple, heck use microwaved jelly, jam, or marmalade if you have to.
Enjoy your French Toast!

Milk, eggs, bread, butter and cinnamon.
Mix eggs and milk in a bow, add cinnamon to your mixture if you want more than what’s on the bread, get a pan started on med and melt the butter. Dip your bread in the mixture flipping it once and put on the pan and cook….
very good and simple…enjoy
