Question: Does anyone have a recipe for REALLY fudgey brownies?
I am looking for a relatively simple brownie recipe were the result is a very dense fudge-like brownie. The recipe that I am looking for has NO frosting and only a simple dusting of powdered sugar. The top forms a very thin, crisp “crust” and the inner portion is dense and fudgey. These brownies are relatively thick and not the thin type, but they are not at all “cake-like”. Can someone help? I would love to send these in a care package to my son in the military overseas for the Holidays! Thanks!

This is a super little recipe. I swear – really! – these are easier to make than "real" brownies and IMO just as good.
1 cup nuts (I used pecans)
1 cup dates
1/4 cup cocoa
pinch of salt
(Now, I halved the recipe, because you see that tiny little food processor I have.)
You put all that in a food processor, and go to it, till it’s all chopped up together. Then moosh (*ahem* compress!) it into a form (I used that mini-loaf pan), then remove and slice as you choose. Piece of cake. Or brownie, as it were.
Now, as for the "vegan" aspect – I was not trying to find a vegan recipe, but happened upon it one day when I saw these brownies being sold. They taste very good, and are so simple, and good for you (fruit, nuts, cocoa? No sugar, no preservatives, no anything else!) that I thought that was probably a good choice for when I need a chocolate/sweet fix.
